Though this photo is quite old, I found that I had to right a wrong instantly! I haven’t told the world about my favorite breakfast place in Nola. Coulis is hidden on Prytania behind Superior Grill (no thanks!) and amidst Touro Hospital. I’ve only had to wait to be seated here once, which is one of the things I love most about it. It’s not a very large place, but there always seems to be at least one table open when you walk in.
There are so many dishes I can recommend here. B and I are especially fond of the Corny Beef, which is a corned beef hash topped with two perfectly poached eggs topped with hollandaise sauce and a side of mirliton. I am also partial to the Eggs Benedict which is actually two slices of jalapeno cornbread covered with pulled pork, two poached eggs and hollondaise sauce. The ultimate french toast shouldn’t be missed either.
In the picture above is the Corny Beef and a build-your-own breakfast, because I was craving some grits.
This place is totally worth a visit.
