Last night I went to La Thai Uptown, and it’s pretty similarly priced to Basil Leaf, most dishes from $14-24. We started with the crispy calamari which was covered in a sweet and spicy sauce; however, the calamari was exceptionally chewy.
I started with a Lycheetini, I LOVE Lychee. It came with Rum, Lychee Syrup and Coconut Lemongrass sake. It tasted a little like sunscreen, but I had two if that says anything!

I got the Paht Woon Sen, which I admit is my thai comfort food. I LOVE this dish and if I’m going to visit a thai restaurant more than once, it MUST do this dish well. It came with shrimp, but they were able to substitute chicken with no problem. My date got the Paht Thai, which I have to admit I didn’t even try. .
