This place was great! It’s nestled in Mid-City on Banks St. The weather has been soooo beautiful lately we opted to sit outside on the deck (So I can’t say much for the decor inside, I didn’t even peek!) I also apologize for not having any pictures of my own, I don’t think my date is as interested in me taking pictures of all the food as my friends can be. Hahaha
We started with a mixed grill, which changes depending on which sausages they are offering. The plate we got was pictured on the website (minus/plus a few things).
Our Plate came with the little smokies (top right) which were topped in a someone sweet n’ sour like sauce. It was delicious! It also came with a link of boudin, a tarragon chicken sausage link and some slices of the beer-brined and smoked pork shoulder. It came with a pile of house made pickles and two lines horseradish-mustard sauce. It was delicious and while it cost around $15 it practically filled the two of us up.
We also ordered the Mid-City Slammer Pizza which came with andouille sausage, grilled chicken, house-smoked coppa, cheddar and fresh mozzarella. The crust was my favorite part, but my date loved it all!
Even though we typically opt out of dessert due to lack of room, and being completely stuffed we ordered the key lime pie (my favorite). It was SOOOO good, tart but sweet, and topped with whipped cream that had key lime rind folded in. I’d come back for this dessert.
The restaurant also had a great drink and beer menu. I had a Watermelon Fizz which was fair, but would probably chose something else next time.
