Hello, My name is Caitlin Periou, and I am a law student, animal lover, and foodie!

About a two years ago now, I moved to New Orleans, Louisiana. Since moving here, I have found myself trying every restaurant and bar I can get to (and afford). I decided to start this blog to document my culinary experiences...and remind myself of the bad, the good, and the great food (and drinks) along the way. Being in law school has hindered my posts unfortunately, but I will try and keep you informed of all the amazing eateries I can stick my fork (or chopsticks) into.

Mahoney’s Fried Green Tomato and Shrimp Remoulade Po-Boy

Despite this po-boy being slightly expensive (around $22.00 for a whole po-boy “at market price”) when split by two people for a light lunch its just right. While I begrudgingly paid 12.00 before trying this sandwich, once I sunk my teeth into that bread…I discovered it was quite worth it.

The tomatoes were fried just perfectly and Mahoney’s did NOT skimp on that shrimp! They were HUGE jumbo shrimp and my sandwich was overflowing with them. This po-boy was delicious and I’ll definitely be going back for more! I still have dreams about that sandwich.

The “Peacemaker” was voted best po-boy, so I may be making a trip back for that as well!
